Connecting the Dots
My journey with Amal Academy started with a reflection of the things which are very important to present and future me. This journey helped me in stopping for an instance and ponder on the blunders that I have made in the past. When a person realize that he/she should have to take that decision instead of other or one decision in some past, he/she gets a piece of spark in the eyes. This spark speaks the experience which a person has just gained. I think, this is the metaphor of ratification of errors or blunders.
The positive reflection on my last number of weeks with Amal Academy helped me to short list an experience which was the drawing of the Life Map. This was done on March 20, 2021. Miss Hajra, Program Assistant of Batch 183, asked us to draw a life map of your important positive and negative life events so for on a piece of paper.
After rewinding the thoughts in my mind, I got some significant events of my life. These events have the impact on my individual, social, academic and almost every aspect of life. I got to know that what are the significant achievements and failures in my life. I also rated these successes and failures from most to least. This grading helped me to know the impact of these events on my life.
I got to know that reading books is my most achievement so for. The company of books is helping and shaping a good being inside myself. New hostel has the 2nd most important positive impact on my life. I am currently breathing in New Hostel of GCU, Lahore since October 2019. This hostel has provided me the company of good friends. The 3rd positive event in my life is admission in Political Science department in GC University Lahore. It was a tough a risky decision. But now I am enjoying my degree.
This reflection also helped me to point out my acute failures. The 1st acute failure in mind come of not getting admission in Cadet College Hassan Abdal in Intermediate. This is due to the fact that I have starved a lot and prepared well for this. The 2nd acute failure is my engagement issue. I think that I have not dealt with this situation very well. The 3rd one is taking admission in Government Islamia College Civil Lines in Intermediate. Because this institution did not provide me enough as per my expectations.
These positive and negative events helped me to know that one should keep a list of his successes and failures in his/her mind. Because these are the significant events and are causing impacts on your life in any way. This life map helped me to learn a lot for the coming days. This is indeed my best memory with Amal Academy.
